Description

Motivate, mentor, and inspire women surgeons to pursue careers and make significant contributions to the advancement of the field of cosmetic surgery.

Goals

Review and make recommendations to improve current membership benefits or to develop new benefits that are unique to the needs of women cosmetic surgeons.
Design an event or education session at the AACS Annual Scientific Meeting.
Seek opportunities to partner with other women’s surgical and physicians’ groups.
Lead the Women in Cosmetic Surgery Section.

Time Commitment & Qualifications

The committee will hold three, one-hour virtual meetings per year as well as a series of shorter meetings to plan its Annual Scientific Meeting activities. Members will participate in conversation and provide feedback via group email when requested. WICS Committee members are also invited to participate in various activities of the Membership Committee.

Those volunteering for this committee should have a special interest in advancing the role of women in the field of cosmetic surgery.
