Since its formation in 1985, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery has grown to become the leading representative of cosmetic surgery practitioners from a diverse array of specialties and backgrounds. To support these groups, AACS has developed three subspecialties, The American Society of Liposuction Surgery (ASLS), The American Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgery (ASCLS), and The American Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ASHRS).
All subspecialty organization members are encouraged to contribute to the AACS member-only newsletter, The Consult.
