We encourage you to submit your manuscripts to the journal for review and publication. SAGE has several resources on how to get published available on our Journal Author Gateway. Whether you are new to authorship or have published several articles before, these resources help authors gain familiarity with the publishing process.

All of our resources were designed for authors and address both the broader publishing process and common author questions. For some quick tips, review the How to Get Published Guide, a three-page PDF that covers the full publishing process from writing through submission and publication. Our video resources expand on this guide, showing how to get started and offering tutorials on submitting. For a deeper dive, watch SAGE’s How to Get Published Webinar, a conversation between SAGE staff and several journal Editors-in-Chief on common questions along the author journey.

Before you submit, be sure to review our Submission Guidelines. These provide all the journal-specific instructions authors need to prepare their manuscript for peer review, such as formatting requirements, editorial policies, and publishing policies. The American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery publishes several article types, including Original Articles (Basic or Clinical Science), Case Reports, Topical Reviews, Technical Notes, How-To Articles for Practitioners, Image Features, Clinical Letters, and more.

If you still have questions after reviewing the How to Get Published resources and journal submission guidelines, reach out to the Editor-in-Chief or SAGE Publishing for more information. When you are ready to submit your manuscript, click here to visit our peer review site to begin the peer review process. We look forward to receiving your submission!
