AACS Certified Fellowships are a Pathway to ABCS and ABFCS Certification

Mohammad Banki, MD, DMD, Facial Fellowship Committee Chair

Victoria Karlinsky-Bellini, MD, General Fellowship Committee Chair

There are currently no residency programs in the U.S. devoted exclusively to cosmetic surgery, and existing surgical residency programs do not include adequate training to learn the vast array of cosmetic surgery procedures. Recognizing this void, AACS certifies post‐residency cosmetic surgery fellowships in general cosmetic surgery and facial cosmetic surgery.

The one year fellowships offer:

• Hands-on training on cosmetic surgery procedures
• A broad and complete sequence of patient experiences
for the Training Fellow to master the principles of aesthetics and patient consultations and management
• Unparalleled training on running a successful cosmetic
surgery practice
• Instruction in the basic sciences, anatomy, anesthesia,
ethics, pre- and post-operative management, and surgical
techniques

AACS Certified Fellowships are a pathway to American Boardof Cosmetic Surgery and American Board of Facial CosmeticSurgery certification.
