Registration fees include admittance to the injectables workshop, Saturday dinner, coffee/refreshment breaks, breakfast (Saturday/Sunday), and lunch (Saturday). Extra ticketed events may require additional fees. All fees are denoted in U.S. dollars (USD) unless otherwise indicated.

Description

Back by popular demand! Designed for physicians and allied health providers from beginner to advanced, this one-and-a-half-day workshop on soft tissue filler injection techniques and the use of neurotoxin injections will highlight the various products and aesthetic indications. Observe and then immediately apply your skills. We have designed the program flow and all components with appropriate social distancing and COVID-safe measures. Despite the pandemic, you can come and learn and get back to in-person education.

Target Audience

Registration will be limited to 25 attendees. This workshop is designed for physicians (MD, DO, DMD) and allied health providers (NP, PA-C, and nurses (LPN, RN, APN) only). Experience ranges from beginner to advanced who want to sharpen their knowledge of facial anatomy to increase patient safety when performing cosmetic facial injections, this one-and-a-half-day workshop on soft tissue filler injection techniques and the use of neurotoxin injections will highlight the various products and aesthetic indications. Through a series of lectures, panel discussions, and live patient demonstrations, the attendees will review the facial anatomy, indications for treatment and observe the injection technique in small COVID-19 compliant group settings.

Nurse practitioners and physician assistants can attend with a letter of support from their supervising physician. There are no temporary out-of-state licenses available for nurse practitioners or physician assistants in the state of Illinois. If you are not licensed in the state of Illinois, you will not be able to inject but are welcome to attend.

Nurses (LPN, RN, APN) can attend if accompanied by their supervising physician. Nurses are unable to inject.

Registration Verification

To participate in the workshop, registration verification is required for allied health professionals, residents, and training fellows. If you’re unable to provide a letter at the time of registration, please email a copy to the AACS office at your earliest convenience. 

Acceptable forms of verification are as follows:

  • Allied health professional (NP, PA only): A letter of support on the supervising physician’s letterhead
  • Nurse (LPN, RN, APN): To participate in the workshop, your supervising physician must also attend
  • Resident: A letter of support from the residency program director
  • Non-AACS training fellow: A letter of support from the fellowship training program director

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the major facial danger zones with a better anatomical understanding
  • Assess the face aesthetically to maximize soft tissue filler enhancement
  • Identify non-invasive rejuvenation of the eyelids through re-volumization and relaxation
  • Understand injection techniques for the tear trough area
  • Utilize neurotoxins to create a naturally refreshed appearance
  • Understand the additional neurotoxin indications for hyperhidrosis, masseter muscle hypertrophy, and migraines
  • Utilize soft tissue fillers for hand rejuvenation
  • Describe techniques for body enhancement with soft tissue fillers
  • Identify and treat complications of neurotoxins and soft tissue fillers
  • Educate health care professionals on the safe practices of cosmetic surgery and aesthetic medicine
