by Dr. Mark Mandell-Brown, President of AACS
AACS’s leadership, the 16 members of the Board of Trustees and the smaller Executive Committee within the Board of Trustees, is always working in the background to make sure the organization runs smoothly and in accordance with its mission to advance cosmetic surgery. The Board has many responsibilities, including:
- Establishing and monitoring the progress of the strategic plan and annual goals
- Overseeing all financial activity, including the allocation of resources through the budget
- Promoting the organization
- Determining governance and operating policy
- Partnering with Executive Director and staff to operationalize our mission and vision
Your current AACS leadership is listed on the website. This year, the Board welcomed six new members: Joseph Castellano, MD; James Koehler, MD; Alex Sobel, DO; Mohammad Banki, MD, DMD; Victoria Karlinsky, MD; and Samir Pancholi, DO. All members of the Board of Trustees serve a three-year term and are selected by the Nomination Committee because of their background, education, training, and experience.
