Past CSF Webster Lecturers

The Webster Lecturers have been recognized by the Cosmetic Surgery Foundation Board of Directors for their contributions to the cosmetic surgery specialty.

Named after Richard Webster, MD was referred to as “the father of cosmetic surgery”, and was instrumental in the formation of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS). As the first AACS President, 1985-1987, his organizational practices reflected his vision of cosmetic surgeons from multiple surgical specialties teaching and learning from one other. 2025 Webster Lecturer: Edward M. Zimmerman, MD

Dr. Edward Zimmerman holds degrees from Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, and the George Washington University School of Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice (ABFP) and president of and examiner for the American Board of Laser Surgery (ABLS). Dr. Zimmerman has been a Fellow of the American Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine (ASLSM) since 1994 and an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) since 1998. He has served on the board of trustees for both the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the Cosmetic Surgery Foundation.

As an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Cosmetic Surgery at Touro University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Zimmerman is involved in direct patient care, medical research, writing, and education. Dr. Zimmerman directs Aesthetic Revolution Las Vegas, a state-licensed, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)-accredited, office-based surgical facility dedicated to the innovation, refinement, and delivery of surgical and non-surgical aesthetic procedures. Additionally, he is a social media personality with a following of over 2.4 million.
