Program Description

Dr. C. Carson Huynh is pleased to offer a newly established one-year AACS Certified Facial Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship dedicated to advanced, hands-on training in the full spectrum of facial cosmetic surgery. This comprehensive program emphasizes aesthetic and reconstructive techniques with a focus on rhinoplasty, deep-plane facelifts, blepharoplasty, brow lifts, facial implants, fat transfer, laser resurfacing, and gender-affirming facial procedures, alongside non-surgical rejuvenation modalities.

The Training Fellow will work directly with Dr. Huynh in a high-volume private practice setting, participating as primary surgeon or first assistant in a broad range of procedures. The fellow’s level of involvement will progress based on demonstrated skill, with graduated autonomy in the operating room, clinic consultations, preoperative planning, and postoperative care. Procedures are primarily performed in an accredited outpatient surgical facility, providing an efficient and focused training environment without the need for hospital privileges in most cases.

Fellows will gain extensive exposure to patient evaluation, surgical planning, advanced aesthetic principles, complication management, and practice management. Additional opportunities may include participation in research, didactic sessions, and community outreach aligned with Dr. Huynh’s commitment to excellence in facial surgery.

Stipend and benefits to be discussed with the Program Director.

Training Fellow Prerequisites

The Training Fellow must qualify per the current AACS fellowship guidelines. They must be able to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license (and a Georgia dental license if an oral and maxillofacial surgeon) prior to the fellowship start date. Training Fellows must also obtain personal malpractice insurance and be board-eligible from one of the surgical specialties listed in the AACS fellowship guidelines.
