The AACS has partnered with Dr. Emilio Justo to offer a comprehensive 3-day live training program on CO2 laser upper eyelid blepharoplasty, designed for physicians of all specialties. With over 35 years of experience, Dr. Justo covers everything from surgical techniques to patient care, insurance considerations, and more. The small group training (from 1 to 5 persons) includes live surgery observational sessions at his state-of-the-art facility in Arizona, along with extensive resources and support. The program is ideal for those looking to enhance patient satisfaction, increase revenue, and expand their medical practice.
General Outline
Day 1
Shadow on 25-27 eyelid surgery consultations. Learn patient evaluation, selection, and documentation principles. Discuss management of post-operative complications.
Days 2 & 3
Observe approximately 10 surgical cases per day. Master CO2 laser techniques and understand its benefits for blepharoplasty.
The course is 3 days. However, physicians can opt to shorten it to two days by eliminating one of the surgical observation days.

About the Instructor
Dr. Emilio Justo, a board-certified ophthalmologist, completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Michigan Medical School and his ophthalmic and laser surgery residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
Since 1989, Dr. Justo has specialized in general ophthalmology and cosmetic surgery. He is renowned for his state-of-the-art refractive cataract surgery and blepharoplasty, having performed over 50,000 such procedures. He is the founder of the Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center as Medical Director at age 27, and he has added two locations since 1989, plus a Certified Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
He is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Justo serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Midwestern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and College of Optometry, as well as at the University of Arizona, Phoenix Medical School. He also holds an adjunct position at A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, Arizona.
He is a two time international TEDx speaker and has written a book titled: The Power of Pause: Mastering Delayed Gratification for Success – A blueprint for Resilience and Enduring Fulfillment.
