About

Soheila Rostami, MD, FAAO, FAACS, is the Medical Director and CEO of Sanctuary Cosmetic Center in Dulles and McLean, Virginia. She is passionate about creating individualized plans of action for her patients that produce results. Dr. Rostami believes in treating all appropriate depths of one’s facial tissues, starting with the surface with the use of pharmaceutical-grade skin care products.

From her experience, Dr. Rostami is cognizant that there is a third dimension to a more youthful face. Her patients trust her to achieve this by strategically placing dermal fillers to replace lost volume, and injecting neurotoxins to soften lines, prevent wrinkles, and add lift. She also makes personalized recommendations for skin resurfacing and skin tightening regimens, including chemical peels, lasers, and radio-frequency procedures to postpone surgical intervention until much later.

Dr. Rostami is a double board-certified oculofacial cosmetic plastic surgeon with over 20 years of experience turning back the clock on aging. She is much sought-after for her precise technique and skill-level in eyelid surgery, dermal fillers, and neurotoxin injections. Dr. Rostami is highly knowledgeable about the most advanced anti-aging laser and radio-frequency technologies available today. She is also a national trainer for cannula, microneedling, dermal fillers, and neurotoxin injection protocols.

Dr. Rostami is a graduate of the Howard University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, where she was chief resident of ophthalmology. She completed her training for ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Maryland. Dr. Rostami holds board certifications with the American Board of Ophthalmology (FAAO) and serves on the Board of Trustees with the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery (ABFCS) & American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS).

Dr. Rostami is the former Section Chief of Ophthalmology at Reston Hospital Center, Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at George Washington University, Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor at the State University of New York, State College of Optometry, and Assistant Professor at Howard University Hospital-Ophthalmology. She has received numerous awards over the years, including Dean’s Honor Roll, Beta Kappa Chi Honor Society, Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Dr. Charles I. West Award, Trustee Scholarship, Member of AOA Medical Honor Society Gamma Chapter, and peer-voted Northern Virginia Top Doc. She is very involved in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, area communities and charities, with memberships to medical societies, chambers of commerce, and women in medicine. In addition, Dr. Rostami performs clinical research for leading technology companies in cosmetics and presents her work around the world.

Having performed thousands of cosmetic and medically necessary eyelid surgeries, Dr. Rostami is known as the surgical eye expert in the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, metropolitan areas. She is honored that other physicians trust her with their own eye surgeries and with those of their patients. While Dr. Rostami is accomplished in lower facelifts, brow and forehead lifts, mid-face and suborbicular oculi fat (SOOF) lifts, eyelid surgeries remain a special interest. She is also skilled in correcting eyelid anomalies and repairing orbital bone fractures and tissue damage from trauma.
