Program Description
This is a career choice. We offer two fellowship slots, one to begin in January and one to begin in July. Our fellowship salary is very generous. The fellow must agree to be an associate of the group. We offer multiple locations throughout the Southeast United States (Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma, and more to come). as options for potential relocation after completion of the fellowship. This opportunity cannot be viewed as a training option alone. Fellows are progressively involved in all surgical cases. It is common that fellows are performing 50% or greater of all the cases performed once safety and competence are verified. We currently perform more than 1,500 major cosmetic procedures per year. The fellow is involved in all aspects of clinical, management, and strategic practice development if desired. Future options for equity ownership are also available. The fellow takes all first call during the fellowship.
The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic and prepared for heavy surgical involvement from day one until the final hour of fellowship. Competency reviews and completion allow independent practices (typically 5 independently performed procedures within categories of breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, chest reconstruction, liposuction, abdominoplasty, buttocks lift and auto-augmentation, bodylift surgery, facelift surgery, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery). At this junction, the operator is independent in all regards, always with available support and supervision.
As a fellow/associate, you will be provided support staff, facilities, infrastructure, and mentorship at all times. Dr. Nuveen and Dr. Caplin have performed more than 28,000 surgeries and have successfully grown multiple practices throughout the nation. Completion of this AACS-accredited fellowship may allow the fellow to be eligible to sit the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery examinations and become ABCS board certified. This fellowship is only for those mature individuals willing to commit to a career path that includes association with Olympus Cosmetic Surgery Group, LLC.
