Program Description

The focus of this program is general cosmetic surgery, involving all aspects of cosmetic surgery. Fellows are expected to come with operative experience and will be taught safe cosmetic surgery. The faculty consists of three cosmetic surgeons and one facial plastic surgeon. Therefore, there is a fairly wide exposure to techniques and didactic learning.

There are three to four faculty members involved with each fellow. The fellows will be operating from day one, and they routinely have a case log of 600 to 800 procedures by the end of their fellowship. In addition, a core curriculum review is offered, as well as teaching in the office and at the table.  The fellows are expected to study classic and current literature during their fellowship.

Each fellow will be taken to the Annual Scientific Meeting of AACS. The fellows are incorporated into the practice and treated as colleagues.

Stipend and benefits should be discussed with the Program Director. The Indianapolis area is an excellent place to live, with a significant amount of extracurricular activities available.

Completion of this AACS accredited fellowship may allow the fellow to be eligible to sit the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery examinations and become ABCS board certified.
