The Sarasota Surgical Arts fellowship offers two one-year general cosmetic surgery fellowships. One fellow starts January 1 and the other July 1. The fellow will experience a mix of both facial and general body cosmetic procedures. The fellow can expect  about 1,200 cosmetic procedures for the year. Sarasota Surgical Arts has a mix of 50% facial procedures, including facelifts, mini-lifts, necklifts, blepharoplasties as well as rhinoplasty and skin resurfacing procedures. Body procedures include: liposuction, tummy tucks, breast augmentations, breast lifts and reductions, BBL’s, brachioplasty, as well as other body contouring procedures. Stipend and benefits should be discussed with the Program Director.

The fellow will be responsible for pre-op, post-op care, as well as joining the doctor in consults. The fellow will also get experience in all facial filler patient care. The practice is located within five miles of beautiful Siesta Key Beach, one of the best beaches in America. 

The fellow will graduate with a proficiency in all aspects of cosmetic surgery, and feel confident to enter the workforce ready. Completion of this AACS accredited fellowship may allow the fellow to be eligible to sit the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery examinations and become ABCS board certified.

Training Fellow Prerequisites

This program accepts Board Certified, Board Eligible General Surgeons, OMFS, OB/GYN and ENT’s who can obtain an unrestricted medical license in Florida. The Training Fellow must qualify per the AACS fellowship guidelines.
